So, tonight, my mom lectured me about spending money. It's not what you think tho, what makes it weird is it's totally the opposite! Let me establish something real quick: I am what I like to call a COMPULSIVE SAVER, I don't like spending money unnecessarily or wastefully, I get money and I put it right in my wallet that I stockpile all my cash in, the opposite of a COMPULSIVE SPENDER. Yeah, not joking. My mom told me I can't keep trying to save all my money and that I should spend more of it like my sister does. X.@; Honest to goodness I'm not making this up!! This woman thinks that she needs to buy me another pair of tennis shoes because "I need them", when in reality I have THREE PAIRS in really good condition (I don't drag my feet and I take care of my stuff pretty well). Actually, I even have a wearable pair form back in 2000. And she keeps wanting to get me more hoodies and sweatshirts, I swear I have like 15 of them if not more. Sometimes I wonder if I should be in an episode of "True Life"...¬_¬

There is something to be said for getting yourself something nice once in a while, but saving and saving is applause-worthy. Especially when you're old enough to put money into a Certificate of Deposit at a bank and let it sit there while it earns more than $200 in a year. At least... that was back when interest rates on CDs were still good.
*(Although I dropped out of computer gaming specifically because hardware requirements were too high for me to handle without spending exorbitant amounts of money to upgrade. A shame too, because PC games usually drop in price the fastest).

I'm definitely a gamer, but I guess I'm lucky in the fact that I have very narrow interests in 'em, so there's not really that many games I'd like to play. Mostly Sims and a couple from the "Tycoon" series
