Should've given it a background color. I thought about an airbrush pic I saw some time ago and said: "Wait, this was all airbrush... so wouldn't it be neat to try something new?" So I went and did this. Ever seen something done completely from scratch with the SMUDGE TOOL, and only that? Yup, 100% smudge tool, one layer.
So you're probably thinking: "Hold up, the smudge tool only smudges colors together, right? So where'd the colors come from? You used the paintbrush!" Nope. If you look closely you'll notice a little box at the top marked 'finger painting'. When this option is selected it allows you to smudge with the foreground color. Try it. And unless you count undoing and using the eyedropper to get colors, added with different pressure settings and modes, 100% smudged. I need a break from school already, and only it's just started... |
